What Information do we need?

To complete our assessments and treatments, training and other work, we do need to have some data and information about you.

-Personal Identifiers, e.g. name, date of birth

-Contact details e.g. address, telephone number, email address

-Birth and medical/health history. This may include developmental history and the child’s current ability

-Schooling information

-Records of contact (assessment records, treatment session records)

-Banking details/Paypal information

 

How do we collect this information?

The information we collect is collected directly from you in most instances. This may be by:

-E-mail, parental questionnaires, referral forms, contact form on the website

-In person from you at any of our events, e.g. drop in sessions, training events

-From a third party if referred to us by another professional

-None sensitive/personal information is gained by analysing the visits to our website using cookies and google analytics

 

Why do we collect personal and sensitive information?

-To assist with our assessment/treatment of your child

-To communicate with you regarding times/locations of groups/training sessions/drop in clinics you have requested information about

-To contact you about relevant offers and upcoming events that may be of interest. We will ask for your permission to contact you in this way

 

How long do we keep your data?

KLB Children’s Therapy Ltd will delete any data about you and your child as soon as able, in line with legal requirements.

If you do not wish to hear from us after your assessment/treatment/first contact is complete, we will only keep the minimum information possible to ensure you are not contacted further unless absolutely necessary.

 

Sharing of information

It may be necessary to share your data with third parties. These will only be with trustworthy sources and with your permission.

 

Security

We have protected our internet and electronic devices with the relevant antivirus software to keep your information safe.

 

Social Media Communication and Marketing.

We do use social media as a form of communication and marketing regarding our services and upcoming events. By choosing to follow our social media pages or ‘like’ us on social media, you are opting in to view these campaigns.

 

Complaints or Compliments.

If you have any comments regarding how we gain/hold data please do not hesitate to contact us. You are also able to log complaints with the Information Commissioners Office.

 

Changes to our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy policy will be reviewed regularly, and amendments made as necessary. Significant changes will be emailed to you (if we have permission from you to do so) or posted on the website/social media pages, but we advise to regularly check on the website to review any possible minor changes.
